Our Fees

At Oludare Adaramewa & Co., our aim is to build long term relationships with our clients by providing value for their money. Our fee structure takes into consideration factors such as:

  1. The complexity of the matter
  2. The seniority of the counsel handling the matter
  3. The specialized knowledge involved
  4. The volume and impartation of the documents prepared or studied and;
  5. The value of the transaction

 

We also offer hourly billing for the foreign clients who are more familiar with this method of billing. We discuss the legal costs for each case with our clients at every stage and provide a breakdown of services rendered in order to ensure transparency.

OUR CODE OF PRACTICE

 

We are conscious of the misunderstanding that failure to communicate properly can cause. To overcome this problem, we encourage all our solicitors to keep their clients informed.

When you first instruct us, we will:

 

  1. Tell you the name and status of the solicitor who will be handling your case.
  2. Explain what options are available and what action we will be taking to handle your matter.
  3. Agree on and record an objective for your particular matter.
  4. Explain the actions, if any, that you as a client will have to take.
  5. Discuss the cost implication of you matter and if possible give you a bill
  6. Advise you if legal aid is available
  7. If possible, advice you on the likely time scale of your matter

As your matter progresses, we will:

 

  1. Keep you regularly informed of progress in particular by sending you copies of relevant correspondence with third parties
  2. Explain the reason for any delay
  3. Submit a full report at appropriate intervals, which, in litigation matters consider the cost/benefit analysis of the matter.
  4. Advise you where applicable, any extra cost giving you both an explanation and a revised cost estimate
  5. Explain the effect of any important documents submitted to you for signature.
  6. Tell you if the conduct of your matter is transferred to another person, giving you an explanation for the transfer.
  7. Advise you in writing of the important dates, such as hearing dates.
  8. Advise you in writing of the consequences of any court order, agreement, document or undertaking that affect your positions.

OUR COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

 

Whilst we are committed to providing a high-quality service, nevertheless, things may go wrong even in the most effective organization. If you feel in any way dissatisfied with the service that you have received, you should discuss the issue with the solicitor who is handling your matter or any member of management.
